I have been growing out my hair from last few months. Its already grown few inches. And to get it in healthy condition. These are few common methods, may be you have heard of them. But do try it.



Tips for healthy hair

  1. Wash your hair twice or thrice a week. Don’t wash it daily as shampoos have so many chemicals which take away the natural shine and moisture from hair.
  2. Use cold water for hair wash. Co-wash with conditioner to refresh, it cleanses and also adds moisture. Shampoo in the roots, conditioner on the ends. Shampoo on the ends of your hair will just dry them out causing split ends and conditioner in the roots will mess up your natural oil.
  3. Deep condition at least once or twice a week. Deep conditioning the hair is vital to keep hair strong and moisturize.
  4. Sleep with a satin scarf or sleep on a satin pillowcase. Cotton pillow sucks all the moisture out of your hair and creates breakage and frizz.
  5. Use cotton cloth instead of towel to soak water it prevents damaging and breaking of hair
  6. Use wide tooth comb or your fingers to work through tangles. Detangle hair when damp with water or conditioner, you can also apply some coconut oil in the end of hair it makes hair soft also shiny and helps to detangle your hair even when they are dry.
  7. Try to minimize the usage of heat styling devices, in case you use heatners put protective serum in your hair. Avoid tight hair styles everyday that put strain on your edges. If you want to curl your hair use twist braids technique.                                                                                        
  8. Give your head a good oil massage. Oiling seals the moisture into hair after applying leave-in conditioner, and on the scalp to stimulate hair growth. Go for coconut, almond, jojoba, avocado, castor oil.
  9. Use hair mask at least once a week. If you don’t have time to make hair mask you can simply put coconut oil over your hair especially in the roots, and massage your scalp for at least 5-10minutes and tie your hair up in a loose bun and go to sleep with it.
  10. Eat healthy,drink plenty of water.
  11. Get your hair trimmed often (split ends).
  12. Use non damageable elastic hair rubber bands.
  13. While stepping out of your home don’t forget to wear a hat,cap or scarf. Avoid direct sun rays from reaching you.
  14. Make braids as it strengths your hair also less damageable hair.

Add these to your shampoo


Egg eaten or used in your hair mask both will definitely benefit you as using egg in hair mask makes hair thick and long. Protein for strength, volume, shine and texture.

Olive oil it softens ad strengthens also fluff up your beautiful hair.

Avocado moisturizes your hair as it has vitamin E which makes your overall hair healthy and moisturizes your strands.

Coconut oil strengthens, moisturizes and makes dandruff free.                               

Banana the remedy for thinning, dry, or frizzy hair.

Lemons lightens hair color, detoxes and promotes growth.

Rose water hydrates, fixes damages, and promotes growth.

Honey moisturizes, treats itchy scalp, promotes growth, and controls damage.

Aloe vera cleanses, gets rid of dandruff, promotes growth.

3 Easy Hair mask

  • Hydrating hair mask

2egg yolks + 2 tablespoon + gooseberry powder


2 eggs + 1 tablespoon honey +  ½ cup milk +  3 tablespoon coconut oil

  • Split end hair mask

1 egg + 1 tablespoon honey +  3 tablespoon olive oil.


1banana + 1tablespoon olive oil + avocado.


  • Deep conditioning

At least once a week for 30 minutes to an hour. Deep conditioning the hair is vital to keep strong and moisturized.

1 tablespoon coconut oil + 1 tablespoon olive oil + yougurt


1 banana + 2tablespoon coconut milk +  2tablespoon honey +  ½ tablespoon melted coconut oil


You can also make your own hair mask here is small chart that will help you to make the hair mask. Choose any of the mixture for your hair mask according to your need. Mix it well. Apply on your hair thoroughly with help of your fingers. So that it reaches the scalp and leave it for 30-60minutes and rinse it with cold water. Repeat this twice or thrice a week. See the difference.
